Don’t Do it for the Plot

On this journey of Life, there’s lots to try. I used to think I was here to sample it all. I’d turn every stone and climb every mountain, desperate to prove I was living “a life worth living.” I said yes to all the callings, without actually thinking about where they were coming from. I rushed through, racing to get to the next experience.

At first, I didn’t know any better. I needed to learn. Then, I did learn, and I still wasn’t acting like it. I did quick, reckless things and rationalized it with, “at least I’ll learn.” I didn’t pause for careful consideration. I ignored my knowing.

“Do it for the plot.”

YOU do it for the plot. Plots are for entertainment. Isn’t your life worth more than that? Isn’t it more meaningful than that? I don’t need crazy adventures to prove I’ve lived. Why would I keep sacrificing my Soul and humiliating myself? So other people can get a laugh?

You deserve to live from the center, not running towards it.

I don’t need to explore all the Universe. It’s exhausting. I’m not here to serve a belief system that leaves me shattered.

Your life is worth living. You’re not material. Go inward. Don’t seek adventure for adventures sake, seek God. You’ll have all you ever need.
